Whitbread is expanding its property team to help it reach its growth target of 85,000 bedrooms by 2020.
Louise Woodruff is joining as regional acquisitions manager, North London and Matt Aubrey is joining as regional acquisitions manager for the North East.
They will work alongside managing director Mark Anderson and Jo Moon, director of acquisitions for Premier Inn.
Whitbread will also increase its capex budget to £700m for the 2015/16 financial year.
Premier Inn is also restructuring within the existing team. Richard Pearson takes on the brief for expanding the brand in Germany, while Nick Johnston will take responsibility for the North West, Ireland and Wales areas.
In London, Owen Ellender moves into a new development management role supporting Whitbread’s freehold pipeline, including several major office-to-hotel conversion sites, and Jonathan Langdon takes on a new role as regional acquisition manager for the West End and City.
Moon said: “As we raise our target to 85,000 bedrooms by 2020 and 5,500 new bedrooms this year, we are galvanising our team for the challenge ahead.
“We have talented people and a formidable capex budget – now, with the help of our investment and development partners, we need more great sites to achieve our new targets.”
