Stanhope and its funding partners Mitsui Fudosan and AIMCo have unveiled new images of White City Place, which is set to provide 1m sq ft office space in west London.

White City Place covers 17 acres and includes three redeveloped buildings designed by Allies and Morrison: Garden House, available for occupation from October, MediaWorks, available to occupy from December, and The WestWorks, the largest building at over 300,000 sq ft, available from spring 2017.

White City Place already has three buildings prelet to the BBC totalling  circa 400,000 sq ft: the Broadcast Centre, Energy Centre and Lighthouse buildings.

There are 3,000 BBC staff already on site, adjacent to the new Imperial College White City Campus.

David Camp, chief executive of Stanhope, said: “White City Place is becoming the creative network hub and commercial heart to White City. Together with Television Centre, we will be delivering close to 2m sq ft of office space and nearly 1,000 new homes over the next five years.

“Alongside the three BBC studios, BBC Worldwide HQ and Soho House at Television Centre, the John Lewis store at Westfield and the Imperial College campus on Wood Lane, White City is fast becoming the place to be.”

Imperial College London’s vice president for innovation, Professor David Gann, said “Our core academic work at Imperial’s White City Campus will bring hundreds and thousands of talented people who are keen on developing next-generation solutions, tackling issues of climate, environment, health care and anti-microbial resistance.

“Imperial’s new campus enables us to incubate and collaborate with some of the world’s most innovative companies. On the other side of Wood Lane, creative and tech companies are set to converge on White City Place. White City is becoming the most exciting place to do business in London.”
