White Rose spec office scheme wins admirers

Three companies are bidding to take space at a proposed 12,000m2 (129,200 sq ft) building at White Rose office park near Leeds.

Sources close to the Munroe K development said IBM, gas and electricity provider Energis and WS Atkins, the parent company of Lambert Smith Hampton, are between them interested in taking all the space in the block.

IBM is considering whether to extend its lease at Albion Street in Leeds but it has a requirement for 3,720m2 (40,000 sq ft).

Energis has a requirement for 2,320-4,640m2 (25,000-50,000 sq ft) as it bids to move away from its town-centre location at Victoria Place.

A source close to the scheme, said: “Everybody is looking at the area south and east of Leeds, from Thorpe Park to White Rose.”
