Take-up in the Edinburgh office market rose by 19% in the year ended 28 February, according to the latest figures from EG’s Radius Data Exchange.
The uplift in activity was due mainly to the Government Property Unit signing a prelet for more than 180,000 sq ft at New Waverley (pictured above).
Advising on the deal helped propel Montagu Evans from 7th in the league table to 2nd. JLL, which also advised, held on to the top spot.
JLL was involved in deals for more than 56% of the total space disposed during the period.
Even discounting the New Waverley deal, it would have acted on 45% of total space let.
Ryden was the biggest faller, dropping from 2nd last year to 8th this year.
Overall, the top 10 agents disposed of almost 845,000 sq ft of space in 122 deals.
