Wiggins Group will re-open Manston airfield, in Kent, on Friday.
The former RAF airfield is the first of what the company hopes will be a worldwide network of 20 regional airports to be known as PlaneStation.
Wiggins says airports are a way of delivering earnings growth and Oliver Iny,chief executive, believes they will overtake property.
