As part of a nationwide expansion, Wilkinson has taken 3,177 sq m (34,200 sq ft) at Legal & General’s scheme at 28/32 Upper Brook Street, Ipswich.
The high street retailer has taken the store, which includes a 2,044 sq m (22,000 sq ft) trading area, on a 15-year lease at £180,000 pa. C&A used to occupy the shop, but moved out in 1992 to L&G’s Buttermarket Shopping Centre. MVC was the next tenant until earlier this month.
Wilkinson has over 130 stores, mainly in the North and the Midlands.
Kingston & Partners acted for Wilkinson and Elsom Woodward & Spettigue acted jointly with Hillier Parker for L&G.
