William Davis get the nod for 500-home Dunston Grange plans

Housebuilder William Davis has secured outline planning for 500 homes on the outskirts of Chesterfield in Derbyshire.

The Dunston Grange plans, which are subject to a section 106 agreement, also include a new village centre with a primary school, local shops and the reinstatement of the former cricket pitch. Ten per cent of the homes will be classed as affordable.

Planning manager Tom Dillarstone said: “Our focus is on creating a vibrant, sustainable community that brings not only homes but essential local amenities and infrastructure.”

Work is expected to start on site from 2025.

Pegasus Group led the application, with assistance from BWB Consulting, Baker Consultants and Lanpro.
