Wilson Bowden puts Nottingham prelet up for sale

Developer Wilson Bowden has placed Lock House in Nottingham on the investment market for around £3.1m following solicitor Shoosmith and Harrison’s decision to prelet the entire building.

The 1,602 sq m (17,250 sq ft) building, on Wilford Street close to the magistrates’ courts, is the first speculative office development in the centre of Nottingham for several years.

Market sources say the rent agreed is £137.24 per sq m (£12.75 per sq ft) on a 15 year lease with a one year rent free period. The solicitor will move into Lock House in the autumn, vacating existing premises at The Ropewalk, Nottingham.

Geo Hallam & Sons advised Shoosmith & Harrison while Fisher Hargreaves Proctor acted for Wilson Bowden. Vincent O’Grady is advising Wilson Bowden on the sale of Lock House.
