Haworth locals fear a wind power project and 1,000 new homes will be a disaster for tourism and national heritage.
Bradford councillors have given the green light to a 197ft-high test mast on Thornton Moor, West Yorkshire, reputed to be the landscape for the novel, Wuthering Heights. Andrew McCarthy, Bronte Parsonage Museum director, said the 1,000 homes that were planned in the area compounded the tourism threat.
