Investor Wing Tai is closing in on a £259m deal to buy Deloitte’s Midtown offices at 66 Shoe Lane, EC4, with contracts due to exchange “imminently”.
The Hong Kong-based firm emerged as a frontrunner to buy the City of London site from Henderson Park late last year, but sources have indicated progress has been slow since then.
The offices house several divisions of accounting giant Deloitte.
A source with knowledge of the deal said it was on course to go through “in the next few weeks”.
Henderson Park undertook a comprehensive refurbishment of the site after buying it in 2018.
Formerly known as Athene Place, the building contains 78,700 sq ft of available office space, with 73,000 sq ft already let to Deloitte.
CBRE and Eastdil are advising Henderson Park on the deal.
