Wolverhampton City Council has unveiled images of the city’s proposed new railway station.

Plans for the station’s multi-million-pound revamp include creating a significant ticket office area, larger passenger concourse, improved retail and café offering and an extension and refurbishment of the station’s car park.

Work is due to start on the station revamp next year. The car park refurb and extension will complete by the end of 2016.

The new station forms part of the wider £120m Interchange project in the city.

The council confirmed that £3.7bn of investment is either currently on site or in the development pipeline across Wolverhampton.
