Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries is expected to unveil the results of its strategic review today.
It is thought to be close to selling its Hartlepool brewery to Castle Eden. The Mansfield brewery is expected to be closed at the end of this year. It is thought fashionable high street pubs such as the Pitcher & Piano will be put up for sale.
However, it is not likely to dismiss bid approaches from Noble House Leisure and Pubmaster out of hand, according to the Financial Times. The Independent, however, says it is expected to reject the potential takeover offers today.
