Music retailer HMV has promoted Rob Wood to head its property division.
Wood’s appointment takes effect from 13 August. He will lead a five-strong property team and report to HMV’s finance director Shaun Carney
Wood has been with HMV for seven years and was previously property surveyor.
Wood succeeds Mark Bowles, who is leaving the group to join Boots, as revealed by Estates Gazette.
Carney said: “Rob has been a key member of our property team over the past few years and his promotion is well deserved. During this time he has been instrumental in delivering many cost-saving initiatives for the group, as well as managing the property side on a number of important areas such as the launch of the hmvcurzon cinema in Wimbledon and the head office relocation last year. I’d also like to take this opportunity reiterate our profound thanks to Mark Bowles for his outstanding contribution to HMV over many years, and we all wish him the very best in his new endeavours.”
