Worcester business park planned

Stoford---Worcester-Six-Spec-Unit--570

Stoford and Liberty Property Trust have unveiled plans for a £120m business park in Worcester.

Worcester Six, located on a 90-acre site just off junction 6 of the M5, will comprise a total of 1.5m sq ft of space in units designed for technology, manufacturing, industrial and warehousing uses.

Liberty Property Trust and Stoford were granted detailed planning consent by Wychavon District Council in July for the first phase of the scheme, which comprises units of 160,000 sq ft and 45,000 sq ft.

The duo had appointed Benniman Construction Group as contractor to build the first two units.

Worcester Six is one of four key employment sites identified in the county’s Strategic Economic Plan.

Plans also include a £10m infrastructure package funded by the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership through the government’s Growth Deal. These works will improve traffic flow to junction 6 of the M5 motorway as well as provide access to Worcester Six.

Stoford director Gerard Ludlow said: “Worcester Six is on track to start construction this month, completing in Q2 2017. As the first large-scale development in Worcester for more than 10 years, the park is generating a lot of interest and we are confident our speculative developments won’t be on the market for long.”

Letting agents are Harris Lamb, Strutt & Parker and DTRE.EU.
