Workspace Group has hired JLL’s Sonal Jain as its new head of sustainability.
Jain was most recently senior director for sustainability and climate leadership at JLL, where she was responsible for driving sustainability best practice both for JLL and its clients.
She is also a senior adviser to the built environment team for the High Level Climate Action Champions, with a focus on rallying business leadership ahead of the COP26 conference taking place in Glasgow in November 2021.
Graham Clemett, chief executive of Workspace, said: “Sustainability is a strategic priority for Workspace. Jain brings with her deep knowledge of sustainability issues and opportunities associated with the transition to a net zero carbon economy, as well as significant expertise in implementing solutions to deliver a positive social and environmental impact.”
He added that Jain’s experience “will be invaluable in ensuring we responsibly deliver on our purpose, to give businesses the freedom to grow”.
Workspace, a FTSE 250 company, owns and manages around 4m sq ft of business space in London.
