Worldgate has opened on the site of the closed Trentham Coliery near Stoke-on-Trent. It is a new business support centre set up by a partnership involving Staffordshire University, the county’s chamber of commerce, Business Link and training and enterprise council and private sector companies.
It has won backing from the European Union, local government and NatWest. It aims to encourage greater use of information technology by businesses.
