World’s tallest wooden tower planned for Sydney

The world’s tallest hybrid timber tower could soon sprout above Sydney.

The founders of software firm Atlassian,  Scott Farquar and Mike Cannon-Brooks, are behind the 40-storey structure, which could be completed in 2025.

The 600-ft tall building, comprising a glass and steel shell with wooden floors and timber columns and beams, will house up to 4,000 of Atlassian’s staff.
