US REIT WP Carey struck deals totalling €253m (£216m) across the US and Europe at the end of 2019.
In the UK, the REIT bought a distribution centre in Yorkshire for £29m. The 385,000 sq ft distribution centre is triple-net leased for 23 years to Poundstretcher.
Investments made in the US included: a $94m (£71m) deal for a 1.2m sq ft logistics facility in Charlotte, South Carolina; a $56m purchase of a 243,000 sq ft shop let to Bass Pro Group in Pennsylvania; a $39m deal agreed for a portfolio of four industrial and two office assets in Texas, Ohio and Louisiana; and a warehouse in Chicago, let to Safco Dental Supply, for $17m.
Deals struck in Europe included the €35m acquisition of two logistics facilities in Denmark and Sweden let to construction products supplier Stark Group.
The deals bring the REIT’s total investment during Q4 2019 to circa $410m and $870m for the full year.
