Wrenbridge buys Cambridge city centre site for £1.1m

Cambridge-based developers, Wrenbridge has bought a 0.4ha (1-acre) site in the centre of Cambridge previously owned by BT for £1.1m.

Situated on the corner of Regent Street and Park Terrace and facing Parker’s Piece green, Wrenbridge intends to build a 1,190 sq m (12,800 sq ft) pub and restaurant. It will also refurbish BT’s former 1,300 sq m (14,000 sq ft) office.

Russell Tame of Wrenbridge confirmed that work will start on the development in eight weeks and will cost £1m. Last month, Wrenbridge won planning permission from Cambridge City Council which also approved the site’s change of use from B1 to A3.

Mr Tame added that further phases will see more office and leisure development.
