Wykeland Group, the Yorkshire-based commercial property and investment firm, has appointed Chris Crookham (pictured left) as its new finance director, succeeding Ian Franks (pictured right), who is retiring after 18 years in the role.
Crookham joins from Sofina Foods Europe, where he served as finance director for UK Added Value, overseeing operations at processing sites nationwide. Prior to that, Crookham was cluster financial controller at Young’s Seafood and spent six years at safety equipment supplier Arco, where he rose to the role of group financial controller.
Franks’ retirement marks the end of a nearly two-decade tenure during which Wykeland marked its position as a leading commercial developer in the Yorkshire and Humber region.
Chris Crookham said: “A big part of the appeal of this role is joining a business with such a strong vision and social conscience, which aligns with my own values. I’m excited by the opportunity to be part of a business very much embedded in the local community and to play my part in continuing Wykeland’s great work at the forefront of investment and regeneration across the region.”
Dominic Gibbons (pictured centre), managing director at Wykeland said: “Chris brings to Wykeland a great deal of relevant, high-level experience with industry-leading organisations and has a very broad skillset.”
