Xerox has prelet 6,000 sq m (64,500 sq ft) of office space in Uxbridge town centre from MEPC.
The company has signed a 17-year lease on two buildings to be built at MEPC’s development site on Oxford Road. It will pay £231 per sq m (£21.50) for the first 3.5 years and £269 per sq m (£25 per sq ft) after that.
The site is currently an industrial estate which MEPC inherited from PSIT when it bought the company in 1997.
Work on the two buildings will start shortly with completion scheduled for December 1999.
Xerox already occupies 10,000 sq m (107,600 sq ft) of MEPC-owned offices nearby.
Management consultant CBX acted for Xerox, while MEPC represented itself.
