XXI to develop Kiev hypermarket

Ukraine-based XXI Century Investments subsidiary Mriya-Invest is to jointly develop, with an unnamed French DIY operator, a DIY hypermarket on the Vyrlytsa, Bazhana Lane site in Kiev.

The size of the plot, leased by the company from the Ukrainian authorities, is 14.7 ha and development costs will amount to $28.8m (€28.7m).

In addition to building the hypermarket for DIY Operator, XXI is to develop a shopping gallery at the Vyrlytsa site and ensure that 60% of the first and second floor of the gallery will be prelet by the opening date of both the hypermarket and the shopping gallery.
