Retirement homes specialist PegasusLife has secured planning permission for a 235-home development in Birmingham.
Planning consent was awarded for a Glenn Howells Architects-designed scheme on Brassington Avenue, Sutton Coldfield.
Plans also include a swimming pool, cinema, gym and a piazza.
Last year, PegasusLife secured a £500m pledge from US private equity group Oaktree Capital Management to fund an expansion.
Howard Phillips, chief executive of PegasusLife said: “We are hugely excited about the proposed development at Brassington Avenue which we think will provide a much-needed service in the area, offering a new type of aspirational living for the older generation.”
Barton Willmore advised on planning.
