Zandra Rhodes to open fashion museum in Bermondsey, south east London

Fashion designer Zandra Rhodes has acquired the freehold of 79-85 Bermondsey Street, London SE1 – a vacant 1,579 sq m (17,000 sq ft) warehouse – for £472,500 from Callington Estates.

Rhodes intends to open the Zandra Rhodes Museum of Fashion and Textiles on the site. She hopes to have the museum up and running by Spring 1997. The building will also house a fashion post-graduate study centre.

Both parties represented themselves.
