Fashion retailer Zara is to open its first Irish outlet next year as part of a multi-million pound redevelopment of Roches Dublin department store.
Zara will take 20,000 sq ft (1,850 sq m) of space in the redeveloped property, which is being increased in size by 50,000 sq ft (4,645 sq m) from 80,000 sq ft (7,430 sq m).
It is hoped the arrival of Zara will persuade other international retailers to enter Ireland.
