Zara to take up former Topshop Leeds store

Landsec has secured Zara as a tenant for the former Topshop store at its Trinity Leeds shopping centre.

The retailer is upsizing from its existing premises on Briggate. It will occupy 46,000 sq ft in the mall.

The move forms part of an “optimisation” plan at Zara’s parent group Inditex, as it seeks larger stores globally.

Nik Porter, head of brand account management at Landsec, said: “As guests demand more from their shopping experience, brands are prioritising prime locations that drive footfall, enable customer service and have an ability to integrate in-store and online shopping experiences.”
