Grosvenor Asia chief heads to Chelsfield

Nick-Loup-THUMBChelsfield Group has appointed Grosvenor Asia Pacific’s chief executive to spearhead a Far East division.

The joint chairman of Chelsfield, Elliott Bernerd and Robert Burrow, have appointed Nicholas Loup (pictured) as an executive director.

The appointment comes just over three months after Grosvenor announced Loup would be leaving the company after 25 years.

Bernerd said: “Nick has exceptional global real estate experience and remarkable knowledge of the Asia Pacific territory. This cements Chelsfield’s long-term interest in further developing our relationships in Asia. Nick will continue to be based in Hong Kong.”

Loup added: “At a time when the key cities of Asia are coming to maturity and showing enormous potential for growth, I am excited about the opportunity to extend the activities of the Chelsfield Group globally.”

He will join the firm in April.

At the same time, Chelsfield has announced that Tara Bernerd will join as a non-executive director. She is the founder of the interior architecture and design practice Tara Bernerd & Partners.

Burrow said: “Tara has established a worldwide reputation for creating exceptional hospitality and development spaces, on time, on budget and with a great sense of style. She will help us to enhance our offerings in London, Paris and the Far East, recognising design as an important factor in creating value.”
