Clarion names acting chief exec as Cooke takes ‘extended period of leave’

Clarion Housing Group has appointed Clare Miller, formerly director for governance and compliance, as acting group chief executive.

Ruth Cooke, who took over the role in April after Keith Exford retired, is “taking an extended period of leave”, according to a Clarion spokesperson.

Cooke was previously chief executive of Midland Heart. Before taking on the top role at Midland Heart in 2012, she was its finance director.
