Edinburgh Airport has more than 11m passengers per year, with more than 30 airlines flying to 120-plus destinations worldwide. Direct train links with London (4.5 hours), Glasgow and the rest of the Scotland. The £1bn Edinburgh-Glasgow (Rail) Improvements Programme includes the construction of a £300m electric railway that will reduce journey times and emissions. The city also has a tram network linking the airport with the city centre.
